After his first trip to Oxford, 2024 DL Aaris Bethea receives an offer from Ole Miss
2024 Erasmus Hall (N.Y.) defensive lineman Aaris Bethea made his way to Oxford last weekend for the 2022 Grove Bowl, congregating with the other 50 or so prospects who were in town for the spring game as well as Double Decker Arts Festival.
But before making the quick drive north to Memphis to the airport to return to the Empire State, Bethea chopped it up with fellow northeast native and co-defensive coordinator Chris Partridge. The conversation ended with the On3 Consensus four-star receiving an offer from the Rebels.
The 6-foot-2, 225 pound prospect from Brooklyn also holds early offers from Rutgers, Maryland, Syracuse, West Virginia and Nebraska. The nation’s 23rd-ranked defensive lineman has also made spring visits to Oregon and Maryland.
Bethea was a part of a dominant defense in 2021, helping the Dutchmen to a 9-0 campaign and a PSAL City League title. Erasmus Hall’s defense held opponents to just 10.2 points per game.

It’s early but according to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine (RPM), Ole Miss trails Rutgers (29.2%), Maryland (25.6%) and Syracuse (21.9%) for Bethea.
RPM was released to the public in December. The On3 engineering group teamed up with Spiny.ai to create the industry’s first algorithm and machine learning-based product to predict where athletes will attend college.
It factors in machine learning, expert predictions, social sentiment, visits, and historical trends. However, expert predictions are still a big piece of the RPM equation.
