Condensed Game: Texas A&M had the look, but No. 10 Ole Miss had the mettle in a 38-35 win
No. 10 Ole Miss football won its fifth straight game on Saturday, further strengthening its long-shot College Football Playoff chances.
The Rebels entered the week with less than 10 percent odds.
However, they moved to 8-1 (5-1 SEC) on the season with a 38-35 win over Texas A&M (5-4, 3-3). Ole Miss is off to its third 8-1 start in 60 years and first since 1990. The Aggies, meanwhile, have lost nine straight on the road, a school record.
“We’re here to win a national championship,” star sophomore running back Quinshon Judkins said afterwards. Judkins set a new single-season Ole Miss record for rushing yards as a true freshman.
The Rebels will need to win out in their final three, starting at No. 2 Georgia next week, to stay alive for the four-team playoff. The Bulldogs faced off against Missouri Saturday. The teams were tied 10-10 at halftime.

The Rebels are 20-2 in their last 22 home games. Ole Miss is 7-2 against Texas A&M, LSU and Auburn in the last three years.
“I felt we dominated the game,” Dart said. “It was really big how we responded. They won the pregame look contest. There are a lot of NFL players on their team.”
