Ole Miss extended an offer on Monday to 2027 Draper (Utah) Corner Canyon wide receiver Diesel Dart, the younger brother of former Rebel quarterback, Jaxson Dart. Offensive coordinator Charlie Weis, Jr. extended the offer.

Diesel is an impressive prospect in his own right, playing both sides of the ball for Corner Canyon. The Rebels joined San Diego State in offering the 6-2, 175-pound prospect.

It’s early for Diesel Dart, but after a strong sophomore season, he’s shaping up to be one of the top prospects in the state of Utah.

Jaxson Dart became one of just four players in SEC history with 12,000 total career yards. Dart broke the single-season Ole Miss passing and total offense records, as well as his own school records for single-bowl passing yards and total offense.

“I think we definitely left (Ole Miss) in a better place than when we came in,” Dart said after the bowl win over Duke. “Our experience in Oxford — the growth, environment, culture of bringing people together — it’s like a dream playing football at Ole Miss.

“You can go anywhere and everybody is going to know your name. Everybody is going to support you. Everybody is going to have your back, and that’s just special. You don’t get that everywhere, especially where I’m from. I didn’t experience that at all at my old school, and then coming here, it’s just a family. The state of Mississippi is special.”

Now, Diesel Dart has the opportunity to follow Jaxson at Ole Miss and build his own legacy. He hopes he leaves as big of an impact on the field wherever he plays his college ball at.

Diesel Dart is unranked at this time, but that’ll change soon enough.
