Eight Ole Miss football players receive invite to 2022 NFL Combine
The journey to the 2022 NFL Draft is underway and the next major stop on the road to Las Vegas is the NFL Combine next month in Indianapolis.
On Wednesday, the NFL announced its official list of invitees to this year’s combine and it included a heavy dose of Ole Miss with eight former Rebels on the list.
Several major players on the Rebels offense from last season will be heading to the combine. Quarterback Matt Corral, running backs Jerrion Ealy and Snoop Conner and wide receivers Braylon Sanders and Dontario Drummond got invitations. Offensive lineman Ben Brown will also head to Indianapolis.
Linebacker Chance Campbell and defensive lineman Sam Williams also received invitations to try and better their draft stock.
Corral is still currently the only Rebel to be projected to go in the first round of the NFL Draft, taking place April 28-30.
On Monday, ESPN’s Jordan Reid released his latest mock draft of the first two rounds. Corral was slotted as the 18th overall pick and selected by the New Orleans Saints. No other Rebel was listed by Reid in the first two rounds.

The Saints named their defensive-coordinator Dennis Allen as their next head coach on Tuesday, replacing Sean Payton who announced he was stepping down last month.
Jameis Winston is still on contract as the Saints starting quarterback as of now but could use a stable backup. Taysom Hill and Trevor Siemian each had their fair share of struggles and injuries of their own throughout the 2021 season once Wintson went down to injury.
Next month’s combine is the first of two final chances for the players to catch the eye of scouts and better their stock. Ole Miss will host its pro day on March 24 and is closed to the public.
The NFL Combine will take place March 1-7 at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis and will air on the NFL Network.
