Five Ole Miss players to participate in this week's 2023 NFL Scouting Combine
The road to the 2023 NFL Draft begins this week in earnest with the NFL Scouting Combine taking place in Indianapolis at Lucas Oil Stadium, including for five former Ole Miss players.
Thursday starts the combine drills and measurements that become instant talking points across television and social media for the next month or so until the draft arrives in late April.
Nick Broeker, Zach Evans, Malik Heath, Jonathan Mingo and Tavius Robinson are all set to participate in the week’s events. Evans is doing all of the interview rounds but is not doing the drills due to a hamstring injury.
Evans will show off for scouts later this month at Ole Miss’ Pro Day which is currently scheduled for March 29.
Robinson will be the first Ole Miss player to get the combine underway as the defensive lineman and linebackers go first in the drills on Thursday.
The remaining four Ole Miss players will get their Combine experience started this weekend with Mingo and Heath going with the wide receivers on Saturday and Broeker going with the offensive lineman on Sunday.

For Broeker this is first time going through the Scouting Combine but second time experiencing some of the NFL Draft process. He decided to return to Ole Miss this past season after receiving initial feedback on his profile from scouts.
Mingo and Heath led Ole Miss and were two of the top receivers in the Southeastern Confernce in 2022 and will have plenty of eyes on them come Saturday.
Evan’s injury, which is similar to one that caused him to miss a game last season, keeps him from taking part in the 40 yard-dash and other drills in front of the large majority of NFL coaches, scouts and even some front office members. He will get the chance, if fully recovered, to showcase his talents in four weeks.
This year’s NFL Scouting Combine can be seen on the NFL Network, NFL+ and NFL.com. Below are the television schedules for each day.
