Former Ole Miss standout Robinson ‘getting better every day’ for Baltimore Ravens
Former Ole Miss EDGE Tavius Robinson was a fourth-round selection of the Baltimore Ravens in the 2023 NFL Draft.
He appeared in all 17 games and finished with 26 tackles and a sack. Robinson could be poised for much bigger things in 2024-25, however. The Ravens are currently in mandatory minicamp.
“He’s getting better every day,” Ravens linebacker Kyle Van Noy said Thursday. “He’s allowed to play faster (and) play with more confidence and swagger. I think that’s what we’re going to see this year.”
Robinson came to Ole Miss from Canada. He was one of four Rebels drafted last year.
Wide receiver Jonathan Mingo went off the board first — in the second round to the Carolina Panthers. Robinson was next, followed by running back Zach Evans (sixth round, Los Angeles Rams) and offensive lineman Nick Broeker (seventh round, Buffalo Bills).
“I remember watching past drafts in Canada in my living room and being like, ‘I want to be there one day,’” Robinson said previously. “Getting the opportunity to come to Ole Miss and now getting the opportunity to (play in the NFL), it’s crazy. But it’s what I worked for.”

RELATED: Could Ole Miss have first round picks in next year’s NFL Draft?
The most Ole Miss draftees in the modern, seven-round era is six in both 2019 and 2022.
Three Rebels (Deantre Prince, Cedric Johnson and Daijahn Anthony) went this year, but each was plucked in the fifth round or later.
Ole Miss currently has six players on PFF’s Big Board for the 2025 NFL Draft. Princely Umanmielen, an off-season transfer addition from Florida, currently tops all Rebels at No. 28 overall. Umanmielen, an EDGE, is in the recovery process from off-season labrum surgery.
Star Rebel wide receiver Tre Harris is No. 34. Texas A&M transfer defensive lineman Walter Nolen is No. 59, while South Carolina transfer wide receiver Antwane ‘Juice’ Wells is No. 75.
The Associated Press released a mock draft in April and had Nolen going No. 7 overall to the Minnesota Vikings. CBS Sports sent Umanmielen to the Seattle Seahawks at No. 11.
“There are times when (2024 expectations) come up,” Ole Miss defensive lineman Jared Ivey said.
Ivey hosts a podcast with Ole Miss Spirit, the ‘Ivey League.’ Ole Miss star tight end Caden Prieskorn was this week’s guest. Both Ivey and Prieskorn are considered likely draftees.
“(A title) is the mission. Everybody’s accepted that. That’s our way of thinking.”
