Quinshon Judkins bucked his doubtful tag from earlier in the week, but Ole Miss was still without a lot of offensive firepower against Georgia Tech.
In the end, the Rebels got along just fine in an ultimately-comfortable 48-23 win.
Senior wide receiver Tre Harris — a first-year transfer from Louisiana Tech, who hauled in five touchdowns in the season’s first two games — sat, as expected, with an injury. He hurt his knee last week at Tulane. Memphis transfer tight end Caden Prieskorn remains sidelined, too, as does UTSA transfer wide receiver Zakhari Franklin.
But veterans Jordan Watkins and Dayton Wade continue to step up when their names are called.
Watkins had his second 100-yard receiving day in three games this season and led all Ole Miss pass-catchers in targets (6), receptions (4), yards (119) and touchdowns (1). Wade had three catches for 86 yards on five targets.

“I feel like I started off slow,” Watkins said afterwards.
“I dropped that one pass in the opening series, but I just came up whenever my number was called. Made plays. That’s all it is. (Ole Miss quarterback) Jaxson (Dart) trusts me enough tot put the ball in the air whenever we need a big-time play. We executed.”

Dart carried the Rebels, finishing 10 for 18 for 251 yards and a touchdown through the air. He rushed for a team-high 136 yards on 14 carries with two additional scores.
“Jaxson’s really tough,” Watkins said. “He’s not tougher than me, but he’s super tough. We go back and forth on that. He’s a heck of a ballplayer. He just wants to win, and that’s just awesome to see, especially from your quarterback. He’ll put it on the line for you, no matter the circumstance.”
