Full schedule for Ole Miss baseball and the Coral Gables Regional
Ole Miss found new life on Monday morning as they were the last team to slide in to the NCAA Baseball Tournament before the elevator door closed.
From being on the outside looking in to many, including the national prognosticators, Ole Miss gets to keep their season going after catching its second wind.
The path to Omaha and the chance to get to its second College World Series in eight years for Ole Miss (32-22) starts in Miami as the No. 3 seed in the Coral Gables Regional.
Some demons get to be exorcised potentially for head coach Mike Bianco and his team with Ole Miss getting the regional started against No. 2 seed Arizona (37-23), the team that knocked the Rebels out of the tournament in last year’s Super Regional round.
Friday kicks off all 16 regionals across the country and the Rebels and Wildcats will get underway at 6 p.m. CT on ESPNU.
Host team and No. 6 National Seed Miami (39-18) will play No. 4 seed Canisius (29-23) in the first game of the day at Alex Rodriguez Park at 11 a.m. CT on ESPN+.
Ole Miss is no stranger to Miami either as both programs have plenty of NCAA Tournament history.
The Hurricanes and Rebels have met twice in the postseason with Miami holding a 2-0 advantage in the previous two meetings since 2006. Miami knocked out Ole Miss in the 2006 Oxford Super Regional championship game and in the 2008 Coral Gables Regional championship game.

If Ole Miss and Canisius somehow matched up this weekend it would be a first-time meeting between the two programs.
