Highlights of new Ole Miss WR, Penn State transfer Trey Wallace
Penn State transfer wide receiver Trey Wallace committed to Ole Miss, he announced on Sunday. Check out the highlights below of what the Rebels are getting.
In 15 games this season, Wallace posted 46 catches for 720 yards and four touchdowns. He has one year of eligibility remaining and was the top available wide receiver in the portal at the time of his commitment. He ranks as the 19th-ranked wide receiver in the transfer portal. His 2024 campaign more than doubled his production in all previous seasons combined for the veteran wide receiver.
The leading wide receiver for the Nittany Lions in 2024 was in Oxford on Friday before taking a Texas A&M visit on Saturday. He also visited Louisville as well while North Carolina and South Carolina were also involved.
Ole Miss currently has the second-ranked transfer class in the 2025 cycle, according to the On3 College Football Team Transfer Portal Rankings.
This was Wallace’s fourth year at Penn State, just wrapping up his redshirt junior season. Through three seasons on the field following a redshirt year in 2021, Wallace has caught 84 passes for 1,221 yards and six touchdowns.

Trey Wallace totaled seven catches for 85 yards in the Lions’ three-game College Football Playoff run. Before that, he caught a touchdown in the Big Ten title game.
Ole Miss had been working to bring in another top wide receiver this portal cycle to team with De’Zhaun Stribling, Caleb Odom, Deuce Alexander and Traylon Ray. On Sunday, they got that in Wallace.
In 2024, Ole Miss finished with the second-ranked passing offense in the country, averaging 350.8 yards per game. With the new-look pass catchers for quarterback Austin Simmons, the Rebels are expected to have another high-flying attack.
Trey Wallace played high school football at Pike Road (AL), where he was a four-star prospect. He was the No. 239 overall recruit in the 2021 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.
