Hit That Line: Get-right and bounce-back time for Ole Miss football
Lane Kiffin and his 5-2 (1-2 SEC) Ole Miss Rebel football team look to get back in the win column Saturday against lowly Oklahoma (4-3, 1-3).
“This is a really big game for us,” Kiffin, who’s in his fifth year leading the Rebels, said this week. “Big matchup to have Oklahoma coming in here. Playing great defense, just changed their offensive staff, looks like changed their quarterback (and) sounds like getting some receivers healthy.
“This is a big challenge for us. Excited to be back in front of our home crowd and get back on track.”
The ‘Hit That Line’ crew are back together on this Thursday (October 24, 2024) to preview Ole Miss-Oklahoma, as well as deep-dive into the rest of the Week 9 slate.

The Rebels are coming off the first of their two bye weeks this season.
They opened with seven straight weeks of competition.
“It’s just funny how small things in the game can determine an outcome,” Ole Miss linebacker Chris Paul said, in assessing the Rebels’ most recent loss, a 29-26 overtime heartbreaker at rival LSU.
“You never know which play is going to determine the outcome of the game. We went back and watched the film and critiqued some minor mistakes. Small mistakes determined the outcome of that game.
