The ‘Hit That Line’ crew welcomes you back inside ‘The Flagship,’ powered by College Corner, to set the stage for a loaded-for-bear Week 7 slate in college football.

No. 9 Ole Miss (5-1, 1-1 SEC) is in primetime at No. 10 LSU (4-1, 1-1). Will the Rebels continue their newfound momentum inside one of the nation’s toughest venues? What areas might the Rebels attack/exploit?

“Every year is independent and every game is independent of every other game,” fifth-year Ole Miss head coach Lane Kiffin said this week. “I think you’ve seen in college football you can’t even say what’s relevant a week ago.

“Every week is always independent. I don’t know why it feels more than ever that you better get your team motivated and right each week, or you’re going to lose.”

“Like all LSU teams, they’re extremely talented,” Kiffin said. “Great looking players and really explosive on offense. You’ve got really good players that you have to go play against. That’s been the case for a long time.”

“Being there in 2022, playing in Death Valley for the first time, that’s going to help out a lot,” veteran Ole Miss wide receiver and team leader Jordan Watkins said. “We’ve been around that environment already. It’s a very, very hostile environment. Their fans show up and they’re loud.

“Being in that environment once will probably help a little bit. It’s going to be a great crowd and great environment. We’re excited to go against LSU on their home turf.”
