‘Hotty Toddy, baby!’: Watch James Madison EDGE Isaac Ukwu announce for Ole Miss
Ole Miss football began the week with transfer portal disappointment.
Keon Coleman, the decorated and coveted wide receiver from Michigan State, went with Florida State instead.
What a difference a few days make.
The Rebels didn’t take long to pick themselves off the mat. First, on Thursday, they landed a commitment from former Nebraska and Alabama defensive lineman Stephon Wynn.
They stayed hot — and continued to address arguably their biggest need position — a day later. James Madison EDGE Isaac Ukwu committed over Auburn and Missouri. Ukwu made the announcement on his YouTube channel.

“I’ll be spending my last collegiate season at the University of Mississippi, man. Ole Miss,” Ukwu said. “They’ve got a great thing going there, and I feel like I can help them out and continue success and everything. Everything I want to get accomplished I can get accomplished at Ole Miss.”
Ukwu has one season of eligibility remaining.
He’s totaled 83 tackles, 27 tackles for loss, five pass break-ups and three forced fumbles over the last two seasons. He sat out the 2019 and 2020 campaigns because of injuries. All 16.5 of his sacks came over the last two seasons.
Other schools to show interest in Ukwu included California, Colorado, Kansas, USF and West Virginia.
