How to watch Ole Miss football in its season opener against Mercer

Ole Miss football opens up its 2023 season on Saturday, hosting Mercer at Vaught-Hemingway Stadium.

The Rebels will be taking the field against an opponent other than themselves for the first time this season wile Mercer enters at 1-0 after beating North Alabama, 17-7, last Saturday in its season opener in Montgomery.

Lane Kiffin is entering his fourth season as the head coach of the Rebels and is six games away from making Ole Miss the longest-tenured job of his coaching career.

Kickoff is set for 1 p.m. CT and the Rebels are one of four Southeastern Conference teams with a game not airing on traditional television. The Rebels and Bears can be seen only on ESPN+ / SEC Network+.

Through the first three weeks of the season, which are the only weeks that have a full slate of television designations, there are a handful of SEC teams that have streaming-only game. Ole Miss gets its out of the way in week one.

Ole Miss fans will need a ESPN+ subscription or log in through a cable or satellite provider in order to watch.

The best way to watch Saturday’s opener is through the ESPN app either on a laptop, mobile device or through a smart TV that carries it.

Televisions that support the ESPN+ app and allow you to watch directly through a TV are:

  • Android TV
  • Amazon Fire TV
  • Apple TV
  • Facebook Portal TV
  • Roku
  • Samsung Smart TV
  • Xfinity XClass, Flex, X1

Fans can also listen to the game through the official Ole Miss Radio or through any of the Rebel sports affiliate radio stations.

There is currently not a spread or line for the Ole Miss – Mercer game as most sports books do not generally place one on a game that involves a FBS team facing a FCS opponent.
