Record-setting Ole Miss quarterback Jaxson Dart remains among the top quarterbacks in the 2025 NFL Draft. According to Mel Kiper, Jr. this week, the program’s all-time leading passer ranked inside his Top 10 passers.

At No. 7, Dart sits behind Indiana’s Kurtis Rourke and Oregon’s Dillon Gabriel. Dart’s not among Kiper’s Top 25 overall prospects, but he has a chance to make a move up overall with all-star games.

In the 2024 campaign, Dart recorded career-highs of 3,875 passing yards and 25 touchdowns. His 322.9 passing yards per game were the most in the SEC.

With bowl preparations ongoing, Dart is one of the many draft hopefuls for the Rebels that’s choosing to play with his teammates one final time. The overall season didn’t meet the team’s expectations, but a 10-win season is still there for the taking.

“I’m not too worried about that right now,” Jaxson Dart said earlier this month. “I’m just worried about playing this last game. That stuff is going to be fine and take care of itself. I’m just excited to go out one last time with the guys. Go chase another victory (and) get to 10 wins and just have a lot of fun doing it.”

It’ll be the final showcase for the record-setting quarterback when Ole Miss takes on Duke. Eli Manning’s longstanding record for the career passing yards in program history came down as Dart broke it this fall. Dart racked up 10,163 passing yards and 68 touchdowns over his three-year career at Ole Miss.

When the Gator Bowl concludes on Jan. 2, it’ll be time for Jaxson Dart to try and break some NFL records.

Jaxson Dart NFL Draft scouting report via Bleacher Report

“Jaxson Dart is a physically talented quarterback with plus-level playmaking ability. Dart excels at throwing isolated and schemed-up routes between the hashes in the middle of the field. He tends to attack one-on-one matchups. He identifies these favorable matchups pre-snap and gives his wide receivers a chance to make a play.

“Whether in the middle of the field or outside the numbers, if Dart spots single coverage, he will test it—the results have been successful this season. Dart uses multiple arm angles/slots to fit passes based on defender location. He throws with a quick, sound, and snappy release when kept clean in the pocket. If there is no pass rush or pressure threat, Dart is patient in the pocket to survey the field and go through his reads. He throws with good velocity in the short and intermediate parts of the field. Dart toggles between throwing with velocity and touch with good decision-making.

“His throwing mechanics are sound and clean, Dart generates enough torque to drive throws between into voids in the defensive coverages. Dart is a strong and tough runner. He is functional athletically to threaten unsuspecting defenses in the red zone. He is comfortable extending plays, keeping his eyes down the field, and throwing on the move. His ability to get out of the pocket and make something happen makes it hard to defend the offense in the red zone.”
