Kansas transfer shooting guard AJ Storr committed to Chris Beard and Ole Miss, On3Sports learned on Tuesday. Storr spent one season with the Jayhawks, but has now signed with the Rebels.

Last season, Storr put up 6.1 points per game, 1.7 rebounds per game, 0.7 assists per game, shot 38.4% from the field and 29.1% from three-point range.

Storr began his career at St. John’s in 2022-23 before transferring after one year. He spent the 2023-24 campaign with Wisconsin before leaving for the Jayhawks.

Storr received all-conference honors in 2023-24 as he was named second-team All-Big Ten for a tremendous season at Wisconsin. He emerged as the Badgers’ leading scorer, averaging a hair less than 17 points per game on a Wisconsin team that earned a No. 5 seed in the NCAA Tournament but lost to James Madison. He was also named to the Big Ten All-Tournament team in ’24.

That’s the version of Storr Ole Miss hopes to get when he was one of the best guards in the country.

Storr has played in 103 career games, 57 of those being starts, for the Red Storm, Badgers, and Jayhawks while averaging 10.7 points (42.3% FG, 33.7% 3PT) and 2.6 rebounds per game.

Storr, a native of Rockford, Illinois, played in high school at multiple programs like Bishop GormanAZ Compass Prep, and IMG Academy. Still, by the end, he was the No. 108 overall recruit as a four-star in 2022. That’s according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.

Now, in his latest transfer, Storr is one of the higher-rated names per the most recent update to On3’s Industry Ranking of 2025’s Top Transfer Portal Players. He is at No. 84 overall as the No. 21 SG. That’s after being a top-ten transfer and top-five shooting guard in 2024.

LSU transfer Corey Chest was the first commitment for Chris Beard and the Rebels from the transfer portal. Chest made 26 appearances for LSU this season, including 19 starts. He averaged 6.1 points, 6.6 rebounds and 1.2 blocks per game while shooting 60.7% from the field.
