Lane Kiffin visits blue-chip QB Landon Duckworth, 4-star RB Ezavier Crowell
Jackson (Ala.) High quarterback Landon Duckworth got a visit from Ole Miss head coach Lane Kiffin on Friday. Duckworth’s added Kentucky, Georgia, Missouri and other offers this year, but the Rebels have made him a huge priority for a while now.
Duckworth backed off a commitment to South Carolina in the summer. After that, he led his high school to an Alabama 4A state title, throwing for 325 yards and five touchdowns in the final game of his junior season.
According to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies, Landon Duckworth is the No. 130 overall prospect in the country, No. 11 quarterback nationally and the eighth-ranked prospect in Alabama.
Duckworth’s junior campaign finished with 3,109 passing yards, 34 touchdowns and nine interceptions through the air. He also ran for 631 yards and 12 TDs in 14 games. He’s now accumulated over 6,400 total yards and 80 TDs across 30 games in three seasons for Jackson.

Duckworth’s teammate, 2026 running back Ezavier Crowell, has also been a hot commodity on the recruiting trail. Crowell recently reclassified into 2026 from 2027, meaning Kiffin is looking at nabbing two of the best in the 2026 class.
Crowell helped Jackson win its first state title since 2011. He ran the football 168 times for 1,964 yards and 31 touchdowns. He also had 258 receiving yards and a pair of touchdowns through the air. Auburn, Alabama, Penn State, Ohio State and others are after him as well.
Crowell’s the No. 137 overall prospect in the country and No. 16 running back in the nation. With Landon Duckworth in the same backfield with him, expect Crowell to remain ranked among the nation’s best prospects.
