Former Ole Miss offensive lineman Laremy Tunsil was named a Pro Bowl starter by the NFL, the league announced on Thursday. The former five-star offensive lineman, who is a key cog for the Houston Texans, remains among the league’s top offensive linemen.

Tunsil has been selected to the Pro Bowl for the fifth time (2019-20, 2022-24) in his career after starting in all 16 contests for the Texans this season. Tunsil, now named a starter in back-to-back Pro Bowl appearances, has not surrendered a sack since Week 1 and currently holds the fourth-best pass-blocking grade (89.0) in the NFL and second-best in the AFC.

Taking place over two days in Orlando, Fla., the skills challenges will be broadcast live on Thursday, Jan. 30, on ESPN from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. CT and continue Sunday, Feb. 2, culminating in flag football.

Last season with Houston, Tunsil’s outstanding blocking efforts helped quarterback C.J. Stroud set numerous rookie passing records both league-wide and among franchise annals. His pass blocking also assisted wide receiver Nico Collins to become just the fourth player in team history to surpass 1,100 receiving yards in a single season.

Over the offseason, NFL.com released its ‘Top 100 Players of 2024’ with Laremy Tunsil coming in at No. 71. He was drafted No. 13 overall by the Miami Dolphins in 2016. Tunsil was one of three first-round Rebels that year. Now, he’s in his ninth NFL season.

Tunsil was an All-American and All-SEC selection in his three seasons at Ole Miss. He was a first-team All-SEC honoree twice. His myriad career accomplishments include a dominant, no-sacks-allowed performance against Texas A&M as a junior. Tunsil completely neutralized then-Texas A&M EDGE Myles Garrett.

The 2025 Pro Bowl Games presented by Verizon will again include an International NFL Flag Championship Tournament featuring top youth teams from around the world, underscoring the NFL’s commitment to the global growth and accessibility of flag football ahead of the LA 2028 Olympic Games.
