LISTEN: Inside the Braylon Burnside Crystal Ball that created quite the (online) Egg Bowl rivalry stir

In this edition of Franchise Player, a site-crossover podcast of the Ole Miss Spirit (On3) and Inside the Rebels (247), Ben Garrett and David Johnson further discuss Ole Miss’ recent transfer-portal exploits, including a double-dip of commitments on Thursday.
Plus, David recently put in a Crystal Ball for Ole Miss to land 2024 in-state wide receiver Braylon Burnside. He’d be the third four-star prospect Ole Miss has pulled from the backyard (Starkville) of its rival, Mississippi State, since 2016.
A Crystal Ball that created quite the (online) Egg Bowl rivalry stir.

Here’s a brief excerpt from their extended conversation.
BEN: What went into your Crystal Ball for Braylon Burnside to Ole Miss? Because that generated some reaction. You knew it would.

DAVID: In all honesty, it’s the feedback I’m getting. Mississippi State simply is not putting their NIL money into high-school prospects as much as Ole Miss is in this particular cycle. For whatever reason, I don’t know why, but they’re kind of missing the mark. The word I’ve gotten back (on Burnside) is Ole Miss is not missing the mark. That’s what went into it.
The better question would be to ask someone from the State site why, after I Crystal Balled him to Ole Miss, they Crystal Balled him to Mississippi State? One of us is going to have to eat goat, and right now, I don’t think it’s going to be me.
