Ole Miss has been one of college football’s most active teams in pursuing transfers during its five-plus seasons under head coach Lane Kiffin.

The 2024-25 cycle isn’t going to be any different.

Monday was Opening Day for portal entrants. Ole Miss is already quite busy. The Rebels are targeting, among others, LSU’s Da’Shawn Womack (EDGE) and Shelton Sampson, Jr. (wide receiver), Nebraska’s Princewill Umanmielen (EDGE) and ULM’s Ahmad Hardy (running back).

Actually, Womack and Hardy are penciled in for visits to Ole Miss this week, as is Alabama linebacker Keanu Koht. The Rebels are an early favorite for Arkansas interior offensive lineman Patrick Kutas.

Womack is visiting on Tuesday, according to the Spirit’s Billy Embody.

Womack played two seasons for the Tigers. He’s a former five-star recruit ranked No. 42 nationally in the 2023 class. Womack appeared in all 12 games and had 13 total tackles as a freshman. He showed up in eight games this season and has two years of eligibility remaining.

Hardy is coming to town on Wednesday. He’s originally from Monticello, Mississippi. Hardy was No. 10 in the country in rushing yards as a freshman this season.

“They need a running back and I’m coming to play,” Hardy told On3’s Steve Wilfong. “That’s something I like about that. Plus, they’re winning this year. I feel like I have a good chance to come up there and win more ball games. Play my part and get wins.”

Hardy rushed for 1,351 yards on 237 carries and 13 touchdowns. He had 100 or more yards in eight games and over 200 twice. Hardy forced 96 missed tackles this season, per PFF, and averaged 5.7 yards per carry.

Koht battled injuries throughout his career at Alabama. The 6-foot-4, 242-pound Koht finished with nine total tackles, two tackles for loss, a forced fumble and 0.5 sacks. He’s scheduled to be in Oxford Thursday.
