LIVE! From the Manning Center: Could Ole Miss get Harris and Prieskorn back for Alabama?
Ole Miss, offensively, played shorthanded Saturday against Georgia Tech.
The Rebels were without lead receiver Tre Harris, as well as starting tight end Caden Prieskorn and potential starting slot Zakhari Franklin. All have been out for various stretches with knee injuries ranging in severity. However, Harris already has five touchdown catches on the year, while Prieskorn and Franklin have yet to appear.
But they seem to be getting closer. Well, Harris and Preiskorn, anyway.
Head coach Lane Kiffin said Monday Harris and Prieskorn were both “out there” at practice on Monday. Media viewing is restricted to four periods, but they were limited participants. Even still, a limited tag is progress.
Harris, Prieskorn and Franklin were all transfer additions for Ole Miss in the off-season.
Harris came over from Louisiana Tech, Prieskorn from Memphis and Franklin from UTSA. Prieskorn and Franklin each had minor clean-up surgeries in August.
“Good start to the week,” Kiffin said. “The guys understand the magnitude of this game. Made a lot of mistakes last week. Lot of things we need to improve on. Extremely hard place to play. Ultra-talented football team. We’ve got a lot of work ahead of us.

“Better health out there today. Good to see Tre out there and Prieskorn out there. I’m sure (Ole Miss QB) Jaxson (Dart) feels good about that.”
Kiffin, as well as players Ulysses Bentley, IV (RB) and Isaac Ukwu (DE), all met with local media on Monday. Here’s everything they had to say.
