FINAL: OLE MISS 52, GEORGIA SOUTHERN 13
Ole Miss 51, Georgia Southern 10 4th Qtr 7:37
Domonique Thomas with his first career touchdown as a Rebel. He had a 19-yard run that was initially a touchdown but called back to the 1. He then finished it off with a second run.
There has been a Ulysses Bentley IV sighting some this quarter but only a couple carries before Matt Jones subbed back in on the drive.
Dart went back for that drive and it ends with him throwing his second interception in as many games and of the season. Died on him as he threw it downfield to Juice Wells but Eagles DB gets in front of it.
Ole Miss 45, Georgia Southern 10 4th Qtr 14:30
Just 18 yards shy of Dart having a 400-yard passing game to go with his four touchdown passes.
Dart to Harris for a second time tonight and this time through the smoke from the fireworks between quarters.
END OF THE 3RD QUARTER: OLE MISS 38, GEORGIA SOUTHERN 10
Georgia Southern connects on a field goal
The Rebels now have had double-digits in penalties for two straight games. Flagged 10 times for 123 yards in this one and kept another Eagles drive alive longer than it should.
Ole Miss 38, Georgia Southern 7 3rd Qtr 4:33
Eagles went for it on 4th down and did not get it. The Rebels offense went 70 yards and capped by a 5-yard run by Parrish for his first touchdown of the night.
Tre Harris looked to have either knocked the wind out of himself or hurt his back on that catch. Would be wise to start sitting some of these guys this late in the game.
Ole Miss 31, Georgia Southern 7 3rd Qtr 9:00
Dart looked to have had his fourth touchdown pass of the game but Harris was called for OPI. Instead a wounded JJ Pegues leaps over everyone and scores on a 1-yard dive. His left arm is still hurting him, though. Would be wise to sit him the rest of the game.
Wonderful start for the defense to begin the second half. Umamielen gets pressure on French who has to throw it hurried and Brandon Turnage picks him off.
HALFTIME: OLE MISS 24, GEORGIA SOUTHERN 7
Ole Miss has 265 total yards of offense to Georgia Southern’s 75 yards. Dart is up to 215 passing yards and three touchdowns.
Ole Miss 24, Georgia Southern 7 2nd Qtr 8:08
Defense provides a bit of a jumpstart and wake up as Princely Umanmielen gets a sack that was more than much-needed. Dart then wastes no time, hitting Tre Harris with a 70-yard touchdown pass on the seocnd play of the drive.
The offense punts it away for the first time tonight. Four straight non-conference games against lesser opponents is finally showing the effects. Ole Miss was due for a game like this, whether anyone wanted it to happen or not.
Clay Helton with the trickery and dials up an onside kick that is ruled to be recovered by the Eagles after a review. Kind of a weird moment in the game right now.
Ole Miss 17, Georgia Southern 7 2nd Qtr 14:12
It took 14 quarters but the Ole Miss defense has given up a touchdown. OJ Arnold hit Derwin Burgess, Jr. for 12-yard touchdown pass.
Penalties are piling up for the Rebels as they now have five for 58 yards. A couple kept that drive alive for the Eagles.
END OF THE 1ST QUARTER: OLE MISS 17, GEORGIA SOUTHERN 0
Georgia Southern is converting and moving the ball this drive. Pegues inadvertently ripped JC French’s helmet off to tack on a 15-yard penalty and the Eagles are at the Ole Miss 20.

The offense keeps clicking and the only thing slowing it down is itself with penalties. Despite a pair of chop block flags Dart finds Watkins for a 23-yard touchdown strike.
X-rays came back clear on Pegues, which is why he is back in the game.
Pegues is back out from the locker room and his arm is moving normal now. Gave him his helmet back. I’m guessing a dislocated shoulder.
Ole Miss 10, Georgia Southern 0 13:16 1st Qtr
The second series on offense was not as stellar for the Rebels as it stalls and settles for a 28-yard field goal from Caden Davis.
First play for the Eagle on defense results in a fumble on the snap and JJ Pegues lands on it. Though He seems to have injured his left shoulder in the process and is now in the medical tent. Took him a bit to get up and was in visible pain.
Pegues is going to the locker room.
Ole Miss 7, Georgia Southern 0 14:29 1st Qtr
Two plays. That’s all the Ole Miss offense needed. A 40-yard pass to Tre Harris then a 35-yard pass to Juice Wells for the touchdown.
PREGAME
Zxavian Harris getting the start tonight to replace Ivey.
Linebacker TJ Dottery is dressed out and going through warm ups as is tight end Dae’Quan Wright. There were reports this week Dottery was banged up and questionable to play.
It is military appreciation game for No. 5 Ole Miss as it hosts Georgia Southern for the final non-conference game of the season.
The Rebels are relatively healthy outside of Jared Ivey and his ankle injury keeping out of the game against the Eagles, but beyond that the timeline is not known on his return.
Ole Miss head coach Lane Kiffin will have a reunion with Georgia Southern head coach Clay Helton. The pair worked at Southern California together when Kiffin hired Helton to Los Angeles. There is also another connection as Helton recruited Rebels quarteraback to Jaxson Dart to USC before he transferred to Oxford.
