Ulysses Bentley, IV, missed all of spring practices with a toe injury.

However, he has a clean bill of health as Ole Miss works its way through preseason camp. The Rebels kicked off practices this week, including a late-evening session on Thursday.

They open the 2024-25 season against Furman August 31.

“I feel really good right now,” Bentley, IV, said at Ole Miss Media Day. “I’m at 205 right now; it’s my first time at 200 pounds. I feel good good with the weight I’ve got, and I’ve got great speed still. I (gained weight) to stay more healthy, for the durability part.”

Transfer Logan Diggs was also MIA in the spring. He’s still on the shelf, actually, and dealing with an injury he suffered at LSU.  Ole Miss stayed busy in the portal. Along with Diggs, the Rebels landed Henry Parrish (Miami/Florida), Rashad Amos (Miami/Ohio) and Domonique Thomas (Georgia State).

Amos had the fourth-most rushing touchdowns (13) of all returning running backs in college football a year ago. He was just one spot behind Quinshon Judkins, the record-setting now-former Ole Miss running back who left for Ohio State in the off-season.
