LOOK: Ole Miss DBs Prince and Anthony take their turns at the NFL Scouting Combine
Three now-former Ole Miss football Rebels took part in the 2024 NFL Combine this week.
Cedric Johnson impressed during Thursday’s session. The combine runs from February 27-March 3. Johnson ran a Top 7 40-yard dash (4.67) for his position group. He posted the best vertical (38 inches).
Deantre Prince and Daijahn Anthony got their respective turns when the defensive backs went through drills a day later.
Prince clocked a 4.38 40, which was the fifth-best mark among cornerbacks. He had a 1.47 10-yard split, the best of his group. Prince recorded a 34.50-inch vertical (14th), as well as a 10’5” broad jump (10th).
Anthony had a 4.55 40 for the ninth among safeties. His 1.51-second 10-yard split was first, while his 37-inch vertical was eighth and his 9’8” broad jump was 12th.

Prince was a consistent piece and staple at cornerback for the Ole Miss defense over his four seasons. He appeared in 51 total games (36 starts) and finished with six interceptions and 100-plus tackles.

Prince started all 13 games in 2023 and had 36 total tackles to go along with one interception.
He spent the 2020 season at Northwest Mississippi Community College due to academics. Prince returned to Ole Miss the following year. His only interception last season came in a win over Tulane in Week 2. He returned the theft 44 yards.
Anthony made an immediate impact for the Ole Miss defense in his only season as a Rebel. Anthony, a transfer from Liberty, showed up in all 13 games, including 10 starts, and ended up fourth on the team in tackles (61). He tied for the team lead in interceptions (3) and pass breakups (8).
Anthony earned the start at safety in the East-West Shrine Bowl. He had two tackles in the game.
