LOOK: Ole Miss debuts new icy white helmets ahead of Kentucky showdown
Ole Miss is breaking the seal on its Southeastern Conference slate for the 2022 season this week and it is going to do it with some style.
On Monday the No. 14 Rebels (4-0) revealed a new helmet design in partnership with Realtree. The design is a white camo scheme with blue mixed in all throughout the helmet.
The helmets were teased over the offseason thanks to a tweet from the account of Juice back in June. Head coach Lane Kiffin then wore a hoodie featuring the same camo design.
This week, both were confirmed to be coming and as well as merchandise for fans featuring the designs.
The collaboration between Rebel Athletics and Realtree has been in the works for several months and has deep roots in the Ole Miss family. Realtree founder, CEO and Ole Miss alum Bill Jordan played wide receiver for the Rebels in the early 1970s and has stayed connected to the program. The Jordan family’s name is featured on the Manning Center indoor field.

“Our players and coaches are excited to partner with Realtree and wear this unique new helmet and gear,” Kiffin said in a statement. “I appreciate Bill, Tyler and the entire Realtree team for all they have done and continue to do for our program. We look forward to seeing what the future holds for this great collaboration.”
Along with the new Ole Miss helmet designs there will be Realtree branded chin straps.
The Nike apparel released for fans will include Realtree pattern across a variety of short sleeve and long sleeve shirts. The long sleeve hoodie worn by Kiffin will also be released this week ahead of the game.
“This is going to be pretty special for us,” said Realtree’s Strategic Business Director and Ole Miss graduate Tyler Jordan in a statement. “I’ve grown up watching games, tailgating in The Grove and attended school here at Ole Miss. My dad played here, and it is cool to sit back and see how things come full circle when we think about the fact that he used to wear the Ole Miss uniform when he played, and now we have an opportunity to see the company he founded represented on the helmets, which look incredibly cool.”
