LOOK: Ole Miss signee Malique Ewin slams off-the-backboard, alley-oop dunk in state title game
Berkmar (Ga.) center Malique Ewin did not end his high school career the way he wanted to. The 6-foot-10, 240 pound Ole Miss signee put up 13 points and eight rebounds in a losing effort over the weekend against Norcross (Ga.) in the Class 7A championship game.
But, before the clock hit 0:00, the Rebels’ signee was able to throw down a big-time dunk in transition late in the third quarter.
Despite another disappointing finish, Ewin was able to lead Berkmar to the state title game in back-to-back seasons and helped them compile a two-year record of 51-11. Ewin scored 19 points in Berkmar’s emphatic 72-58 semi final win over Pebblebrook.

The On3 consensus four-star and 86th overall prospect signed with Ole Miss last September over notable offers from Alabama, Florida, Georgia Tech, Mississippi State, Virginia Tech and Xavier among others. He joins fellow four-stars Amaree Abram and TJ Caldwell in the Rebels’ 2022 class as well as three-star Robert Cowherd.
Ewin currently has an On3 NIL Valuation of $12.7k. The On3 NIL Valuation is an index which looks to set the standard market value for both high school and college-level athletes. The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
