LOOK: Ole Miss women’s basketball hits Rome in first leg of week-plus-long Italy tour
Ole Miss women’s basketball on Sunday left out for a week-plus tour of Italy.
The Rebels return home August 8. But before they do, they’ll take in a number of the country’s most iconic sites. They’ve already been to Rome and visited the Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain and Colosseum. They also played an exhibition game against Team Slammers-Iska.
Next up is Florence. The Rebels will take a pizza-making class prior to their second exhibition, which will come against the Spanish Select team. Ole Miss will then take a day trip to the Leaning Tower of Pisa.
Naples will be the final stop of the tour. Ole Miss has an exhibition lined up with the Italian Select team. The Rebels will check out Pompeii, as well as take boat tours around Capri and Positano.

The Rebels are coming off their first Sweet 16 appearance in 16 years and return seven players from a roster that was boosted by the additions of eight newcomers. Three are transfers, including Kennedy Todd-Williams (North Carolina) and KK Deans (Florida) — a pair of Top 15 transfers, according to ESPN.
The Rebels are led by SEC All-Defensive standout Madison Scott, who’s back for her senior season. She’s joined by fellow returning starters Marquesha Davis and Tyia Singleton.
