LOOK: ‘Really exciting time at Ole Miss’ rolls on with ‘Production Day’
Ole Miss football can’t get enough of the spotlight, apparently.
The Rebels stole the show to open a week’s worth of SEC Media Days. Ole Miss was back in front of cameras for the team’s ‘Production Day’ on Wednesday. The included photos were provided by Ole Miss Athletics.
Ole Miss is seemingly all-in on a title chase following an off-season that produced inarguably one of the most talent-rich two-deep depth charts in college football. The Rebels have the third-best odds to win the SEC, ahead of even Alabama, and third-year returning quarterback Jaxson Dart has the sixth-best odds to win the Heisman.
Ole Miss won a program-record 11 games a year ago, and the Rebels have a favorable schedule this season. The Crimson Tide is off the schedule, as are Auburn and Texas A&M.

Ole Miss kicks off against Furman August 31.
“This is a really exciting time at Ole Miss,” fifth-year head coach Lane Kiffin said at the SEC’s annual, end-of-summer kickoff event in Dallas earlier this week. “Going back to the New Year’s Six Bowl and the Peach Bowl and that win and so many players deciding to stay after that, to come back for another season, and then the addition, a lot of credit to those players and staff obviously.
“But those players (and) additions through the portal of other players and free agency … it’s set up for a chance to have a good team. There’s a lot of work in that. Plenty of noise out there and teams over the years in all sports ranked high and haven’t played well. (Others have) been ranked low and played really well.
“None of that means anything.”
