LOOK: The Ole Miss basketball Rebels showed who they really are against Florida
Ole Miss basketball eclipsed the century mark for the first time since 2013 in its 103-85 win over Florida on Wednesday.
The Rebels shot over 70 percent in the second half to turn a four-point nail-biter at half into a laughter by the final gun. Senior forward Jaemyn Brakefield led the Rebels in scoring with a career-best 28 points. Western Kentucky transfer center Jamarion Sharp set a new single-game school record for blocks (9).

The Rebels had 16 as a team, their most in a single game in history.
“We always struggle finishing the second half. So, that’s what we worked on the whole entire week,” Sharp said afterwards. “We weren’t the Ole Miss team we know we are against Tennessee and had to come back and show who we were. We worked more together in the second half. Less unselfish and communicated better.”
“Helps when you make shots,” first-year head coach Chris Beard jokingly added.
