LOOK: Transfers pass eye test, as still-portal-shopping Ole Miss gets back to spring football
Ole Miss football isn’t done shopping in the transfer portal.
The Rebels lost Quinshon Judkins to Ohio State in the off-season. Judkins spent two seasons as Ole Miss’ primary running back. He set a new single-season school record for rushing yards as a freshman.
LSU’s Logan Diggs was added in the off-season to help replace him. Diggs joined a room already featuring returners Ulysses Bentley, IV, and Kedrick Reescano. The veteran Bentley, IV, is currently projected to lead the group. Diggs is still recovering from an injury he suffered as a Tiger last season.
Miami (Florida) running back Henry Parrish, Jr., entered the portal this week. He’s likely headed for a reunion with the Rebels, as first-reported by the Ole Miss Spirit’s Zach Berry. Parrish, Jr., spent two seasons with the Hurricanes after a true-freshman campaign as a Rebel.
Parrish, Jr., led their backfield last season. He appeared in 10 games, including five starts, and rushed for 625 yards and six touchdowns over 100 carries. He’ll be a fifth-year senior in the fall.

Oregon coach getting NFL buzz
“I look at our team nowadays by the setup that has been created, which I’ve told you is a disaster,” sixth-year Ole Miss head coach Lane Kiffin said Tuesday. “But, hey, we take advantage of it more than anybody, so I’m not complaining. I’m just saying it is what it is.
“You’re going to have another free agency window coming up. If you guys look out there and look at our running back position, just like you would in the NFL, you’re going to attack free agency at that spot.”
Kiffin was addressing local media following the Rebels’ third practice of the spring.
Ole Miss got back to work Tuesday after a week off for spring break. Heavily featured was Reescano, as evidenced by the included photos, as provided by Josh McCoy of Ole Miss Athletics.
