Ole Miss receiver Micah Davis and defensive back Louis Moore entered the NCAA transfer portal, back in December, but are both playing against Duke in the Gator Bowl.

For Davis, it will mark the third transfer of his career after he spent only one season with the Rebels. Davis appeared in every game in 2024 to finish with five catches for 57 yards. He also served as Ole Miss’ primary punt returner with 18 returns total on the year.

Moore has committed to Indiana, On3’s Pete Nakos learned in late December while Davis is still looking for his next stop. Moore is joining Curt Cignetti and the Hoosiers as they look to keep building something special in Bloomington.

Moore actually began his collegiate career with Indiana, so this is more of a homecoming than a fresh start for Moore. He spent two seasons in Bloomington before playing with Ole Miss in 2024, helping the Rebels take the next step on the defensive side of the football. All told, Moore has accumulated 126 total tackles, four forced fumbles, three interceptions and 1.5 sacks during his time in the college football world.

Moore played high school football at Poteet (Mesquite, TX), where he was a three-star prospect. He was the No. 546 overall recruit in the 2020 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.

Davis was unranked in the 2020 cycle out of Harrison High School in Atlanta, Georgia. He would go on to sign with Air Force, where he played the first two seasons of his career before transferring to Iowa Western Community College.

As a redshirt freshman with the Falcons in 2021, Davis totaled 360 yards rushing and 221 yards receiving with six total touchdowns. He would carry that success over to the JUCO level, leading the country with 329 yards on 29 punt returns and being named first team all-conference in 2022.

That enabled him to land a scholarship at Utah State the following season, where he would go on to have the best year of his college career. He recorded 36 catches for 628 yards and six touchdowns while also continuing to serve as a punt returner, ranking eighth in the FBS with 250 return yards.
