Former Louisville guard and four-star prospect Koren Johnson committed to Ole Miss, Ole Miss Spirit learned on Tuesday.

The 6-2 junior only appeared in two games this season for the Cardinals due to injury. He averaged 3.0 points, 2.5 assists and 1.5 rebounds for the Cardinals in the 2024-25 season.

He suffered an injury to his shoulder that forced him to miss almost the entire year with Louisville. Johnson revealed on social media shortly after the injury that he would be taking a redshirt season and undergo surgery to repair the ailment. That means he has two more seasons of eligibility as a redshirt junior starting this coming season.

Prior to arriving at Louisville, Johnson was the Pac-12 Sixth Man of the Year for the 2023-24 season at Washington, averaging 10.9 PPG for the Huskies.

Johnson originally entered the portal on March 28 and visited Ole Miss this past weekend, getting time with Chris Beard & Co.

Before college, Johnson played high school basketball at Wasatch Academy (Seattle, WA), where he was a four-star prospect. He was the No. 126 overall recruit in the 2022 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, which is a proprietary algorithm that compiles ratings and rankings from all four primary recruiting media services.

Kansas transfer shooting guard AJ Storr was another back court addition this week. He signed with Ole Miss, On3Sports learned on Tuesday. Last season, Storr put up 6.1 points per game, 1.7 rebounds per game, 0.7 assists per game, shot 38.4% from the field and 29.1% from three-point range.

LSU transfer Corey Chest was the first commitment for Chris Beard and the Rebels from the transfer portal. Chest made 26 appearances for LSU this season, including 19 starts. He averaged 6.1 points, 6.6 rebounds and 1.2 blocks per game while shooting 60.7% from the field.
