No. 22 Ole Miss whipped Central Arkansas, 59-3, on Saturday to improve to 2-0 on the season.
Luke Altmyer, who started at quarterback, injured his shoulder and was replaced, possibly prematurely, by Jaxson Dart with under a minute to go in the second half and Ole Miss leading 28-0.
Altmyer ultimately finished 6 for 13 for two touchdowns and an interception, while Dart impressed, completing 10 of 15 passes for 182 yards and two touchdowns. Altmyer also rushed for a score.
Quinshon Judkins posted his first career 100-yard effort.
The true freshman running back had 104 yards on 10 carries, while tight end Michael Trigg grabbed three touchdowns, a first for an Ole Miss receiver since Elijah Moore in 2000.
