#notcommitted: Top transfer Walter Nolen visiting Ole Miss + Flipmas season?
In this edition of #notcommitted, Ben Garrett and Zach Berry of the Ole Miss Spirit (OMSpirit.com), an affiliate of On3, preview another big visit weekend for Lane Kiffin and Rebel football, including an official from Texas A&M transfer Walter Nolen.
Nolen is ranked as the No. 1 overall player in On3’s Industry portal rankings and would address Ole Miss’ most pressing off-season need.

“This is a part of the next step for Lane Kiffin at Ole Miss,” On3 national college football analyst J.D. PicKell said Monday, in previewing Nolen’s trip to Oxford. “They’ve been good now the last couple of years. Two 10-win seasons in the last three years. Lane Kiffin’s starting to build that thing up and continues to utilize the portal well.
“But the difference between Ole Miss being good in the SEC and competing for SEC titles? What separates them from schools like Alabama and Georgia? Having the big boys.
“The big boys, they resemble a lot of what Walter Nolen looks like.”
The Rebels could be in the Flipmas spirit as well, and the 2024 schedule was made official earlier this week. Here’s hoping the Egg Bowl stays off Thanksgiving.
Let’s get after it.
