Ole Miss announces arrival of the nation's No. 2 transfer portal class as mid-year enrollees

The Spring semester started at Ole Miss three weeks ago and Monday announced the arrival of one of the country’s best transfer classes just in time for Spring practices.

Ranked No. 2 by On3, the Rebels once again was among to the top teams during the transfer window. Having replenish 18 of last year’s 22 starters creates the need to get immediate starters, which Lane Kiffin was also once again successful at accomplishing.

The only team to have a better transfer class was Texas Tech, per On3.

Spring drills will start next month and run through April, Ole Miss has yet to release its Spring schedule or details for the annual Grove Bowl.

Along with the transfer class getting to Oxford so did 13 members of the Ole Miss 2025 signing class.

The Rebels secured the 19th best recruiting class this cycle, based on composite industry rankings by On3. Top in-state prospect Caleb Cunningham is not among them as he is finishing up his senior season of basketball at Choctaw County and graduating in May. He will arrive in Oxford this Summer.

A trio of walks-ons round out the 40 players serving as the mid-year enrollees for Ole Miss. quarterback George Hamsley, offensive lineman Mason Waddle and linebacker Bryson Walters are the early arrival non-scholarship players.
