Ole Miss adds another portal commit in JUCO two-way JP Robertson
Pearl River Community College (Miss.) utility JP Robertson joined in on the commitment flurry for Ole Miss Tuesday. The Madison, Miss., prospect committed to the Rebels. Rivals’ Chase Parham was first to report the news.
On the mound, Robertson struck out 79 batters (11.3 K/9) in 63 innings. He posted a 3.14 earned run average and a 1.22 WHIP in 2024. The newest Rebel commit finished with a 9-2 record. PRCC finished the season 49-10 (25-3), ending the year in the Region 23 Tournament.
Louisville outfielder Isaac Humphrey and Kentucky catcher Austin Fawley committed to Ole Miss Monday and Tuesday respectively.
At Germantown High School, Robertson was Second Team All-State as a senior and First Team All-State as a junior. He hit .340 with 36 RBIs, nine doubles, four homers and one triple and had an 8-3 record on the mound with a 1.75 ERA. The 46th-ranked prospect, per Perfect Game, also had 91 strikeouts.

Ole Miss now has seven commits via the portal.
Mike Bianco and Co., are looking to revamp a roster which has been gutted by the transfer portal. Ole Miss is almost certainly going to lose top signee Slade Caldwell to the MLB Draft and Cade Townsend is “50/50”, per a few scouts. The Rebels also hope to hold on to Mason Nichols, Riley Maddox, Hunter Elliot and Connor Spencer.
Troy Sutherland, Perfect Game’s national Scouting Coordinator for the Mid-South, saw Robertson live this spring at the PCB Classic.
“Excellent JUCO pick up. JP Robertson can pitch,” Sutherland said. “He’s just a pitcher. He can PITCH. He performed well and is No. 159 on our board.”
