Ole Miss and head coach Mike Bianco already holds a top-rated class, per Perfect Game.

And on Sunday, the Rebels added yet another highly-ranked prospect to its top-five recruiting class when IMG Academy (Fla.) outfielder Nathan Fink announced his commitment to Bianco after Ole Miss had just wrapped an opening weekend sweep of Charleston Southern.

The Charlottesville, Va., prospect was committed to Virginia at one point but reopened his recruitment last summer. The 6-foot-4, 205 pounder has been impressive with the bat and brings a ton of punch to an Ole Miss class that already has three other top-100 players, including five-star outfielder Roman Anthony.

Fink plays at IMG Academy with fellow 2022 commit and top-100 prospect, Jackson Ferris.

Prep Baseball Report is really high on Fink after seeing him prep in Virginia for the last three years:

Fink has a long 6-foot-4 frame with room to add strength. In the outfield he shows above average range and high end arm strength. At the plate Fink does not get cheated (see video below). The swing can get a little uphill and pull happy at times, but when he finds the barrel it has a chance to produce big power on a consistent basis. Fink has high end hand and bat speed that allow him to “stay back” a little longer. I have now seen Fink in eight at bats and he has probably seen 75 percent breaking balls. Obviously this is probably going to be the book on Fink during high school and in order for him to have a high level of success in at bats, he will need to stay patient and not expand the zone.

In 14 games as a junior, Fink hit .366 for Miller School of Albemarle (Va.) with 17 runs, 15 hits, 12 RBI, 3 2B, 3 HR and a 3B. He also had an on base percentage of .527, slugging percentage of .707 and an OPS of 1.234, helping the Mavericks to an undefeated record in the VISAA Virginia Independent Region league.

The big-bodied athlete has been clocked in the 60 yard dash at 6.76 seconds and 94 MPH from the outfield. He’s also had exit velocities at the plate that have topped out at 104 MPH. For comparison, Ole Miss’ Kemp Alderman had an exit velocity of 114 MPH on Sunday.

Along with Alderman, Fink has some of the most impressive raw power for an Ole Miss prospect that I have personally seen since All-Americans Thomas Dillard and Stephen Head were coming out of Oxford High School and Hillcrest Christian School, respectively. Fink and fellow 2022 signee Anthony form one of the more formidable duos in the high school ranks and if they both make it to campus for the 2023 season, there’s a good chance of beer showers in right field.
