Ole Miss baseball adds Saint Louis pitcher Owen Kelly

Pitching was a major necessity and going to be the focal point for Ole Miss during the 2025 baseball transfer season. Monday continued to emphasize it with yet another arm added to the staff.
Saint Louis transfer Owen Kelly has committed to the Rebels, according to a report from D1Baseball’s Kendall Rogers. Kelly is the fourth pitcher to transfer in this month and another potential starter either in the midweek or the weekend.
The rising sophomore right-hander appeared in 15 games for the Bilikens in 2024, mostly weekend starts with a couple midweek appearances mixed in. Kelly worked 80 innings and finished with a 6-2 record and 4.61 earned run average.
He struck allowed 45 runs – 41 earned – on 79 hits while striking out 78 and walking 29 other batters. Kelly gave up 13 extra-base hits with seven home runs and six doubles. His fastball topped out around 95 miles per hour in his first collegiate season.
Kelly joins Grant Richardson (Grand Canyon), Wil Libbert (Missouri) and Marko Sipila (San Diego State) as transfer pitchers coming to Oxford. Richardson and Sipila are potential risks in next month’s MLB Draft.

Outfielders Tristan Bisetta (Clemson) and Daniel Pacella (Illinois State) round out the six transfer additions Ole Miss has landed this month.
Ole Miss is also working to see what it might take to retain the services of ace Hunter Elliott, though next month’s MLB Draft will ultimately be the deciding factor.
“Obviously the big one is Hunter Elliott. Tweet at him, take him out to dinner,” Ole Miss hitting coach Mike Clement told the Ole Miss Spirit last week. “He would certainly be the best portal piece, not portal piece, but he would be the best piece to get back that you could possibly. He makes up for probably three or four portal guys that we would get. He’d be the biggest piece.”
