Despite suffering their second loss of the season in the second game of Sunday’s doubleheader against Oral Roberts, the Ole Miss became the top team in the country in one latest poll on Monday.

In D1Baseball’s newest rankings, the Rebels (13-2) overtook Texas and moved up one spot to No. 1. The Longhorns (13-4) dropped a road series at South Carolina while the Rebels won their fourth straight series over the weekend.

Arkansas (11-3), Vanderbilt (13-2) and Oregon State (11-2) round out the top five.

It is the second time in program history that the Rebels have been ranked No. 1. The first time occurred the second week of the season after going 3-0 in Arlington, Texas on opening weekend.

With the season entering conference play for most teams, all of the different polls are starting to take on a similar look after being a little disjointed in the preseason.

The Rebels continue their rise in other polls, including Baseball America’s where they find themselves up two spots to No. 2. Notre Dame (11-1) benefited from Texas falling three spots out of the No. 1 position and the Fighting Irish became the new No. 1.

Oregon State, Texas and Virginia (14-1) round out Baseball America’s top five.

In Perfect Game’s latest poll, the Rebels moved up a spot to No. 4. Notre Dame, Vanderbilt, Texas and Tennessee (15-1) round out its top five.

Collegiate Baseball moved the Rebels up a spot to No. 9 after entering the top 10 last week. Vanderbilt, Tennessee, Oregon State, LSU (13-3) and Virginia round out the top five.

The Rebels hit the road for Spring Break with a mid-week game at Southeastern Louisiana (7-9) on Tuesday (6 p.m. CT / ESPN+) as a final tuneup before conference play begins at Auburn (13-4) on Thursday (6 p.m. CT). The first game of the series will air on SEC Network then Friday and Saturday’s games will air on SEC Network+
