Ole Miss vs. Arkansas State: How to watch, start time, TV channel

The Ole Miss baseball Rebels on Saturday were punched in the mouth by ranked Texas.
They hit back with a run-rule bludgeoning of Clemson a day later.
“I’m proud of the way we showed up,” head coach Mike Bianco said. “What we haven’t been able to do last couple of years is respond. The guys really responded. I’m proud of them.”
The next round for the Rebels (2-1) is their home opener against Arkansas State on Tuesday.
First pitch at Swayze Field has been moved up to 2 p.m. CT. Ole Miss will start Tampa transfer RHP Alex Canney in his Rebel debut. Canney chose Ole Miss in July over Florida and Oklahoma, among others.
Canney last season won 14 of his 19 starts. He finished with a 3.21 ERA and 99 strikeouts in 106.2 innings. Tampa won the 2024 NCAA Division ll national championship.
“I think it’s as much pitching depth as we’ve had in my decade here,” Ole Miss hitting coach Mike Clement previously told the Ole Miss Spirit. “The pitching depth is really, really good. We’re 10-15 guys deep.”
Arkansas State will counter with right-hander Jelle van der Lelie (0-0, 5.40 ERA).

“Luke was the star of the game,” Bianco said.
Hill also helped key Ole Miss’ 2-1 win over No. 21 Arizona. The former Arizona State transfer had two hits in three at-bats. His sacrifice fly drove in the first run of the game.

RETURN OF THE KING
Ole Miss left-handed ace Hunter Elliott picked up his first start in nearly two years against the Wildcats.
Elliott went five shutout innings and gave up just two hits with three strikeouts. He retired his first six batters on just 15 pitches. Elliott even picked off a runner at third.
“It was a long road,” Elliott said, in a postgame interview with FloSports. “So much excitement and adrenaline. It was a little tough to contain it at times, but I’m just excited to be back. I love this team.”
FOR THE CAUSE
Saint Joseph’s transfer right-hander Will McCausland debuted for the Rebels on Sunday, making his first-ever appearance out of the bullpen.
He picked up the win.
McCausland worked 3.2 innings and was tagged for just three hits. He struck out eight.
“The fastball was really working,” McCausland said. “I was able to pitch it in the top of the zone well and miss under the guys’ bats. The works from the beginning today.
“I’ll typically go in extended like that. A lot of fastballs; the cutter was really working today.”
McCausland retired the first seven hitters he faced. Eight of his first 11 outs were strikeouts.
