Arkansas-Pine Bluff shooting guard Kylen Milton hearing from Ole Miss, several others
The NCAA Transfer Portal is alive and well week of the opening of the 2024 NCAA Basketball Tournament. Over 560 players are already in the portal and the number might exceed 1,000 by next week. One of the prospects in the portal is Arkansas-Pine Bluff shooting guard Kylen Milton. Several programs have already reached out to the Chamblee, Ga., recruit, including Ole Miss.
Before his time with the Golden Lions, Milton played at Western Kentucky. He averaged 17 points, 6.6 rebounds, 2.9 assists and 1.2 steals per game last season. He was 51 percent from the floor and 35 percent from three-point range.

The 6-foot-4, 192 pounder will be a graduate transfer wherever he ends up.
There are several ties here which would make sense for Kylen Milton to end up at Ole Miss.
The UAPB guard played one year of post-grad ball at CORE4 Academy in Atlanta. Chris Beard is a Georgia native. Assistant coach Wes Flanigan has a ton of ties to the state of Arkansas as does Beard who coached at Arkansas-Little Rock. Ole Miss will be looking to replace three guards in 2024-2025. Jaylen Murray, Matthew Murrell and Allen Flanigan are all expected to be gone. The Rebels have reached out to Milton to try and bring in an experienced shot maker.
Milton averaged 23 points per game during the 2019-20 season. He was also a Class 7A All-Conference selection and made the All-State Tournament team while at Conway (Ark).
