Seton Hall small forward Dre Davis to transfer to Ole Miss
Seton Hall small forward Dre Davis just wrapped up a banner year for the Pirates. Now, the 6-foot-6, 210 pound prospect will take his talents to the Southeastern Conference and Ole Miss. The former Louisville signee has announced his commitment to the Rebels quickly after entering the NCAA Transfer Portal. Davis is Chris Beard‘s third commit in the 2024 portal cycle.
In 2023-2024, the Lawrence Central (Ind.) recruit averaged 15 points, six rebounds and shot 49 percent from the field. He was a big part of Seton Hall’s run to an NIT title, defeating Indiana State in April. During the game against the Sycamores, the newest Rebel finished with 18 points (including the game-winning bucket), three rebounds and three blocks.
As a junior, he was fourth on the team in scoring, averaging 9.6 points per game on 52 percent shooting from the floor and 41 percent shooting from three-point range.

Dre Davis played at one of the best high school programs in Indiana.
As a senior, he averaged 21.5 points, 8.7 rebounds, 2.8 assists, 1.3 blocked shots and 1.2 steals per game. Lawrence Central finished 22-3 in 2019-2020 and was 60-14 in three seasons with Davis. In the 2020 class, he was ranked as the nation’s 122nd overall prospect. He was also listed as the 30th-ranked small forward and No. 3 player in Indiana.
Earlier in the season, Seton Hall defeated No. 1 overall seed UConn, 75-60. Davis finished with 17 points, five rebounds, a block and an assist. He also came up big against Top 10 Marquette, scoring 11 points and grabbing seven rebounds in a 78-75 win. But, his best game of the year was in the regular season finale against DePaul. Davis finished with 28 points, seven rebounds and three assists.
