UNC Greensboro power forward Mikeal Brown-Jones entered the NCAA Transfer Portal last week. And his phone quickly began to ring. Ole Miss is among a growing list of Power 5 programs who are recruiting the Philadelphia, Penn., prospect.

Now the list is shrinking.

On3’s Joe Tipton reports Kansas State, Pitt and Ole Miss are the finalists for the 6-foot-8, 220-pound forward who started his career at VCU. He was named first-team All-Southern Conference this season after averaging 18.9 points and 7.5 rebounds per game. He is a graduate transfer.

He averaged 17.9 points and 7.1 rebounds while shooting 61 percent from the field and 39 percent from three-point range as a senior. IMG Academy and Brown-Jones finished with a 50-8 record during his two years.
