Ole Miss flips 4-star OL Connor Howes from Arkansas
Ole Miss landed 2025 four-star Saint Cloud (Fla.) Osceola offensive lineman Connor Howes on Thursday, he announced. The Rebels flipped the longtime Razorback pledge after a strong official visit the final weekend before the early signing period.
“It was great. I loved it,” Howes told On3 of the visit. “It was more than what I expected. Just the coaches, I had a list of questions I needed answered and they were answered before I could even ask them. It was a great a great atmosphere. Coaches are just great. It was amazing.”
Overall, he sees the vision Ole Miss has for him and he really appreciates all the guidance already.
“I like the mindset that they have for me,” Howes said. “I like the goal they have for me. I like how we’re talking about where they want me to be how they’re gonna develop me, stuff like talking to Garrison, he was telling me like certain drills. Like if I struggle with this these are examples of drills and they were talking to me about how they want to develop me over the next three, four or five years and so I I really like that.”
Ole Miss offensive line coach John Garrison sat down and shared plenty of details with him on his game and what he needs to work on.

“Just sitting down talking with the coaches,” he said. “Them being for real with me and not beating around the bush. A lot of coaches will sit there and just tell you exactly what you want to hear. I sat down in a meeting with Coach Garrison, and we talked about a few things that I struggle with and a few things that I’m really good at. A lot of coaches won’t take that time to do that with you. So I like the fact that he took that time and just how they took care of me.”
Ole Miss head coach Lane Kiffin spent time with him on Sunday, sitting down for a while to get to know him even further.
“It was great,” Howes said. “We just got done talking with him for 20 minutes or so. Maybe it was a little longer, like 40 minutes, but we were just talking all the time. It was just a good talk. We talked about everything. It was good to get to know him, because I haven’t really met him personally.”
On3 is significantly higher on Howes than the other major recruiting services. He ranks No. 179 nationally and No. 14 among offensive tackles in the 2025 On300. He’s also the No. 27 player in Florida.
