Daytime Fireworks: Ole Miss is playing complimentary football
No. 13 Ole Miss (5-1, 2-1) hits the bye week at the perfect time. Jaxson Dart, Quinshon Judkins, Tre Harris and Zakhari Franklin are all in need of a week off. The defense is also going to spend some time in the cold tub after answering the bell in a 27-20 win over Arkansas last week.
Now, the attention turns to the Auburn Tigers and former Ole Miss head coach Hugh Freeze. The Tigers travel to Baton Rouge, La., to take on an LSU offense which is clicking on all cylinders. The look-ahead spot is very real here and the Auburn offense is very bad. Can Freeze and Co. get it done in Death Valley?

Intel on potential head coaching moves
On this week’s episode of “Daytime Fireworks”, David Brandt and I quickly detour to talk MLB Playoffs but then get into the first half report card for Ole Miss and Lane Kiffin. We discuss the offense under a second-year starter, the complimentary pieces at running back and wide receiver and how the Rebs are in a great spot at the break.

Despite needing some help to win the SEC West, all the goals are still in front of the Rebels.
The good guys will be favored in every remaining game outside a trip to Athens, Ga., to take on No. 1 Georgia. Can the Rebels exercise the demons on the Plains next weekend and get a big-time win to move to 6-1? And if this happens, is a 10-2 Rebel team on the outside looking of a crazy College Football Playoff season?
All of this and more as David and I pick Week 7 games against the spread.
