Daytime Fireworks: Jaxson Dart could be legitimate Heisman Trophy candidate in 2024
Sure, it’s January 23 and spring practice isn’t even close to starting but this is not stopping off-season speculation by the masses. FanDuel have come out with updated odds for the 2024 Heisman Trophy less than a month after last season’s College Football Playoff came to an end. And everyone’s favorite Ole Miss quarterback, Jaxson Dart, is among the early favorites.
Dart will be entering his third year in Lane Kiffin’s system and seems poised for a breakout season. He currently sits at +1800 odds to win the most prestigious award in college football, behind several quarterbacks around the country.

On this episode of Daytime Fireworks, David Brandt of the Associated Press is here to talk Dart, Heisman hype, Ole Miss football 2024 and more.
We also discuss other candidates for the award, 2024 schedule and how it could potentially help Dart make a run at the trophy and college football coaches jumping to the NFL. Then, David and I talk about Chris Beard and Ole Miss basketball’s Wednesday match up with Arkansas. Can the Rebels rebound after a tough outing against Auburn?
