Daytime Fireworks: Ole Miss is a legit giant killer for 2024
As the 2023-2024 college football season came to a close Monday night, all the attention turns to the offseason. So where does Ole Miss fall in the early power rankings? Here’s what On3’s Nick Kosko had to say about the Rebel’s chances of making some serious noise next year. ESPN ranks Ole Miss 7th overall.
“Lane Kiffin and the Rebels are already a sleeper for next year’s national title. Ole Miss has plenty of talent coming back as well as the ability to hit the portal,” Kosko said. “With the team’s two losses only coming to Alabama and Georgia, like Missouri, this team is going to be a player. Get your popcorn ready for the rise of Ole Miss”

CBS’ Dennis Dodd has much higher intrigue than ESPN.
“What was Quinshon Judkins thinking by entering the portal? The warm embrace of Oxford, Mississippi, and the Lane Train would have made him a Heisman Trophy contender,” Dodd said. “Now? Well, good luck with NIL riches, kid. Kiffin has plenty of running back depth even after making Judkins a star.”
