The Flagship: Ole Miss looks to reload RB room via recruiting
Ole Miss has a loaded running back room for the 2024 season. The Rebels return Ulysses Bentley and added Rashad Amos, Logan Diggs, Dominique Thomas and Henry Parrish via the NCAA transfer portal. But, after this season, there’s a good chance the room will look very different.
On this episode of “The Flagship”, presented by College Corner, we talk about the inevitable task of having to reload. Lane Kiffin and Co., have a solid plan already, targeting several talented 2025 prospects.
Baylor School (Tenn.) four-star Shekai Mills-Knight is close to committing and Ole Miss is the favorite. Quitman (Miss.) four-star Akylin Dear decommitted in June but has yet to commit anywhere else. And Melrose (Tenn.) four-star Jamarion Morrow is the top flip target for the Rebels.

There’s also the opportunity of reloading via the portal.
The aforementioned additions via transfer were not exactly on the radar until they were. Diggs was added early on after a brief flirtation with Ole Miss last cycle. Parrish returned to Oxford, Miss., essentially following running backs coach Kevin Smith. Amos was at one point committed to Mississippi State and Colorado before landing with Ole Miss. And Thomas was the final addition after earning a scholarship at Clemson.
On this episode, we discuss the importance of building depth via the high school ranks while also being open to adding the right fit from the portal.
