AJ Brown: Ole Miss Rebel to Super Bowl Champion, through the years
On Sunday, former Ole Miss Rebel wide receiver AJ Brown added yet another accolade to his resume. The Starkville (Miss.) prospect helped the Eagles defeat the Chiefs in Super Bowl 59. Brown finished with three receptions for 43 yards and a touchdown.
After winning the Conerly Trophy and being named All-SEC twice, Brown was selected by the Tennessee Titans 51st overall of the 2019 NFL Draft. But, before he was eventually named to the PFWA’s All-Rookie Team in 2019, three-time All-Pro and Pro Bowler, he was a high school prospect from the Sip.
Let’s take a look at AJ Brown through the years.
High school
As a 2016 senior, Brown led Starkville to a 6A state title. He finished his senior season with 83 receptions for 1,371 and 13 touchdowns. He was named first team All-State by USA Today, The Clarion-Ledger and the Mississippi Association of Coaches. Furthermore, he was named to The Clarion Ledger’s Dandy Dozen and became the second player ever to be selected to both the Under Armour football and baseball All-American games.
He had four catches for 79 yards a touchdown in the Under Armour All-America Football Game.
One of the first glimpses people got of AJ Brown was in a matchup versus his eventual college teammate, DK Metcalf. The four-star wide-out racked up a career-high 16 receptions for 176 yards to lead Starkville to a 20-7 win over Oxford. Brown even made the game-saving tackle on the two-yard line.
College
The best way to describe Brown’s tenure as a Rebel is to look at the long list of accolades he accumulated.

NFL
It didn’t take long for AJ Brown to announce himself to the professional world. A three-time Pro Bowl selection and two-time Associated Press All-Pro eclipsed 1,000+ receiving yards in four of his first five NFL seasons.
During his first three years in the league, Brown hauled in just under 3,000 yards and 16 touchdowns for the Titans.
He became the first Eagle to produce multiple 1,400+ yard seasons, doing so in back-to-back years (2022, 2023) with each of the top two receiving marks in franchise history. This year, he finished the Super Bowl Champion season with 67 receptions for 1,079 yards and seven touchdowns.
All in all, he leads the league with a 15.7 receiving average since 2019 and ranks 1st in 50+ yard TDs (14) in this same span. He has also produced the 5th-most receiving yards (5,947) in the NFL since 2019 and the 3rd-most receiving yards since 2022.
