Ole Miss football gives look into new Olivia and Archie Manning Athletics Performance Center
The first phase of Ole Miss Athletics’ Champions.Now. campaign is underway with the construction of an updated Olivia and Archie Manning Athletics Performance Center that is bringing the football program a step closer to competing in the SEC’s arms race of facilities.
On Monday, Ole Miss released a walkthrough video of what the new building will look like and hold once completed.
Ole Miss will train in a 10,710-square-foot weight room, including a cardio mezzanine, yoga/pilates space, state-of-the-art technology, fueling stations and offices for the nutrition staff. The training room will also expand and feature additional recovery benefits, including hydrotherapy, massage therapy, compression units, two sensory deprivation tanks, cold and hot tubs, new concussion rehabilitation technology and counseling space for mental health and nutrition consultations.
“A championship team needs championship facilities, and this campaign is a huge step in advancing our program to the next level,” said Ole Miss football head coach Lane Kiffin in a statement earlier this year. “I appreciate the commitment of our university leadership to provide facility enhancements necessary to compete at a high level and attract the nation’s top recruits. I look forward to seeing Rebel nation step up to the plate and help this team continue to reach new highs.”
The $45 million project started back in January with the demolishing of the previous Manning Center once the football season was concluded and is expected to be completed July 2023.
The Van Devender Family Foundation Locker Room will receive a complete makeover and will be expanded to include a barber shop, hydro tanks, plunge pools, a players’ lounge and drink station.

All new office spaces will be built, including separate offensive and defensive team meeting rooms to supplement the existing Roland and Sheryl Burns Team Meeting Room. Office layouts will be streamlined for offensive, defensive, analytics and recruiting staffs, as well as a renovated head coach’s office.
The equipment room will be expanded as well, along with an ESPN/SEC Network bureau cam room, a photo and video studio and a media workroom. The new Williams-Reed Foyer will welcome visitors to the Ole Miss football headquarters and the Gina and Chip Crunk Grill at 1810 will remain to feed the Rebels.
“The Champions.Now. campaign symbolizes our commitment to excellence and our unwavering resolve to win championships at Ole Miss,” said Ole Miss athletics director Keith Carter in a statement. “This announcement is not only about facility enhancement but about investing in the future success of our programs. Rebel Nation is the most passionate fanbase in college sports, and we’re confident that this campaign will unite the Ole Miss family as we take our program to the another level.”
