Red and Blue Smoke: The Great Cheesesteak Debate and Ole Miss-Penn State predictions
Christmas has come and gone, but on Boxing Day we talk about Ole Miss and Penn State in the 2023 Peach Bowl. Both programs are going for win No. 11 and are hoping to breakthrough to achieve top-tier status in its respective conferences.
Ole Miss is the clear-cut No. 3 program in the Southeastern Conference right now behind Alabama and Georgia. Same can be said for the Nittany Lions who are behind Ohio State and Michigan. A win on Saturday would go a long way in helping each program close the proverbial gap, albeit a large one.

So far, Lane Kiffin‘s group has just one opt out, EDGE Cedric Johnson. Penn State on the other hand has lost three starters and more could be on the way. Ole Miss has a ton of program momentum following national signing day and the No. 1 overall portal haul. And a win on Saturday could potentially spark some real “Top 10” buzz for next year.
